Curiosity
without a niche.
CloudOnFire is a personal internet playground for the things that are too interesting to leave alone: servers, records, furniture, food, travel, technology and the occasional glorious detour.
Homelab
Self-hosting, networking, Proxmox and practical notes written before the solution disappears from memory.
Sound & objects
Turntables, albums, gadgets and beautifully engineered things with buttons, knobs or an unreasonable price tag.
Food
Comfort food, restaurant discoveries and recipes measured with enthusiasm rather than laboratory precision.
Elsewhere
Travel, architecture, accidental discoveries and observations made outside the server room.
Why does this site exist?
Because a personal website should feel personal.
This is not a carefully optimised content machine. There is no strict publishing schedule and no attempt to squeeze every fascination into one marketable niche. Some posts are useful guides. Others are love letters, field notes, opinions or reminders to my future self.
The connecting thread is simple: if something sparks curiosity, earns a strong opinion or sends me down a rabbit hole, it belongs here.
Pick a rabbit hole.
The homepage has the latest experiments, obsessions and excellent distractions.
